So, Darren Gibson is the only person from the Park BBQ show that I didn't get to film, only due to a simple first time filming mistake of thinking 8GB was going to be enough space. Raw video chews the data, evidently. Anyway, I couldn't live with myself if I didn't give this guy a mention. I saw him the night before (for the first time) with Jamie Hay and Arrows, and he absolutely killed it. He played last at the BBQ and he absolutely stole the show again, and you've seen the videos of everyone else... that's saying something.
In the past few days I have gone from someone who had heard the name to a massive fan. If you haven't heard any of his stuff, go and check out his new CD "Cross Town Motions" which is out on Poison City Records (I believe. Artwork pending). Also check out Tyre Swans.
I have to give him a huge mention for covering Paul Kelly and Billy Bragg. It was super cool. If you get the chance to see him, go and do it! 11/10
