I was super excited when I came home to find this waiting for me today. Anyone who knows me will know I love Tigers Jaw, so when I heard about this split I jumped on it as soon as humanly possible. This is a 7inch split with a band called The Sidekicks, whom I don't know a lot about, apart from they do a really great cover on this record. Each side is a new song from each band and a cover.



The new Tigers Jaw song is spectacular, although I am probably extremely bias. The cover they do is by a band called Okay Paddy who are an older band from their home town, Scranton PA. The other side of the split also contains a little nugget of gold, the cover is of Evlis Costello's (Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes and they nailed it. The vocals are great and this is a really cool cover for me, being a huge Costello fan.

The layout and packaging are quite simple. Black vinyl, which is the only colour and I believe is limited to a release of 300. The cover art is really simple, a few little outline drawings of Fish and some kind of electronic/scientific looking example picture. The insert is just the reverse side of the cover, which is flat black with white lyrics/information.
